about

Casper Nyvang Rask throws his compositions into the hands of some of the most original and recognised musicians on the always vibrant Copenhagen improv scene. The result is flabbergasting! Improvisation and composition melt together and the acoustic soundscapes are challenged by the usage of various midi synths. Storytelling, freedom, chaos and intuition form the foundation of this release. The result is noisy and lyrical, searching and ”in your face”.
This album is also kind of a good bye letter to Casper's father, who suffered brain damage after a stroke and later passed away.

”Slow Evolution Ensemble” is the Danish double bass player and composer Casper Nyvang Rask's debut album.
